Flutist and bandleader Jim Thomas started TranzitionzJazz as an avant-garde passage to voice jazz in a more liberal fashion, one that allows room for seamless transitions; fusing classical, standards, classics, and popular music into a niche that can only be recognized asTranzitionzJazz. Staying true to well-known jazz standards and interpretations made known by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Moe Koffman, while exploring classical music by Claude Bolling, a blend of Dave Brubeck, including popular classics by Maria Muldaur. TranzitionzJazz makes everything sound jazzy with the sweet blend of jazz flute by Jim Thomas, vocals, percussion, and songwriting by Jasmin Uglow, Piano, organ, and music and video production by Richard Uglow, upright and electric bass by Nick Arseneau and jazz drums by Stuart Mein. 

This stimulating jazz coterie is primed for any event opportunity and can be hired as a quintet, quartet, or trio. Set lengths are usually 45 minutes with 15 minutes break every hour. For more information and a quote, please contact Jim via our contact page.
